FAQs

We know choosing a pediatric dentist comes with questions!

Our team is here to make the process simple, clear, and stress-free. Below are answers to some of the most common questions we hear from families at Austin R. Church DDS and Associates Pediatric Dentistry. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, give us a call—we’re happy to help.

What insurance do you accept?

We accept a wide range of insurance plans to make dental care accessible for your family. Some of the most common plans we work with include:

Aetna, Ameritas, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Careington, Cigna, Delta Dental, Delta Care, DentaQuest (including DentaQuest CHIP), Dental Network of America, Dental Select, Dental Health Alliance, GEHA/Connection Dental, Guardian, Humana, Lincoln Financial, Managed Dental Guard, MetLife, MCNA, Principal, Safeguard, TMHP, UnitedHealthcare, and United Concordia.

If you don’t see your plan listed, please contact our office—our team is happy to help check your coverage.

Do you charge a fee for missed appointments?

If you find that you must change your appointment, we require a minimum of 24 hours notice to allow us an opportunity to accommodate other patients. A $50 missed appointment fee will be charged and will be collected before any further appointments can be scheduled/rescheduled.

Are you open on the weekends?

Our office is not open on weekends. Regular hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Can I go back with my child during the appointment?

Parents are welcome to accompany their child during dental visits. We want both you and your child to feel comfortable and confident throughout the entire appointment.

When should I start bringing my child to the dentist?

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children visit the dentist by age 6 months to 1 year, or when their first tooth comes in. Early visits help build healthy habits and reduce anxiety about future dental care.

What is your inclement weather policy?

For the safety of our patients and staff, we follow local school district closings and delays:

  • Keller Office: Keller ISD
  • Fort Worth Office: Fort Worth ISD
  • Saginaw Office: Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD

If you’re unsure about office hours during severe weather, please call to confirm.
  • Do you offer payment options?

Flexible financing is available through CareCredit, which allows families to manage treatment costs with convenient monthly payments. If you’d like to learn more about CareCredit options, visit the www.carecredit.com website.
